Sometimes we injure our joints and other times they simply wear out. Institute for Orthopaedic Innovation experts have vast knowledge in treating and replacing hips, knees, shoulders and other joints. Other associated joint issues may involve infections, complications with artificial joints, arthritis or deformities. Surgical techniques have evolved. You may be a candidate for a minimally invasive surgery options compared to traditional methods. Other orthopedic issues may be treated in the office.

Shoulder Issues

Is it that “old football injury?” Or maybe you’ve worked out too hard in the gym. Even a simple act of reaching for something can cause pain. We’ll give you options to treat this important joint.

Robotic/Minimally Invasive Knee Replacement

The purpose of a total knee replacement is to reduce pain and increase range of motion in the damaged knee. Some patients may be candidates for robotic total knee replacement. During a robotic total knee replacement, computer software builds a 3-D model of the patient’s knee. The model allows the surgeon to carefully plan the surgery using current images. With robotic assistance, the surgeon is able to make very precise cuts to the bone around the knee and optimize implant placement.

  • Knee Sprain
  • Knee arthroscopy
  • What is knee arthroscopy? This procedure is performed to help diagnose the condition of the knee joint. The arthroscope is a long, slender tube with a tiny camera on the end. The arthroscope is inserted into the knee, allowing the surgeon to see the joint and make a diagnosis.
  • Arthroscopy is often performed to:
    • Diagnose joint injury or disease
    • Remove bone or cartilage
    • Repair tendons or ligaments

Hip Replacement and Treatment

A total hip replacement is a surgery to replace a diseased or injured hip joint. The surgeons replaced the damaged hip joint with an artificial ball-and-socket joint. Hip replacement can be performed as a traditional open surgery or by minimally invasive technique. We also offer anterior hip replacement, which replaces the hip from in front as opposed to other methods. Reasons patients choose to have a hip replacement include:
